When Leicester handed over the planning of MEC 08 to Birmingham, they gave us a very comprehensive set of minutes and notes. It was awesome to see how organised and comprehensive they were in their documentation! I was seriously impressed! 77 documents organised by minutes, bedplans, t-shirt breakdowns, groups, accounts.

We were really thankful for the comprehensive notes handed over by Leicester, and we joked that next year’s committee would suffer from the spares notes that our committee would have! (don’t worry though, we have a nice good looking set of minute to pass next year’s committee - and i think we’re organised pretty well - since we’re the first easter conference to have their website up!) Because we may not be the most organised with our notes, but we’d definitely try to be the most innovative.

I guess one thing that i’m passionate about is being creative for God - and a willingness to try new things, and take risks - to see if we can’t bring God a new song in worship. As God’s the one who’s given us creativity, we want to use that for him.

Over the next few weeks i’ll share some of the things that we’re going to be trying out. :)
