***Unfortunately MEC 2012 is now over, may God continue to bless you***
What is the MEC?
The Midlands Easter Conference is a 4-day Christian conference aiming to provide
solid spiritual nurturing to university students and young adults, and
to encourage and equip them in living the Christian life. Working in
partnership with COCM, the conference attracts Chinese people originating
from all parts of the world, and even those who aren't Chinese!
Who is MEC for?
The MEC is open to university students and young adults based in the
Midlands aged 18 or over - if you are based further north or south, you may also be interested in the North England Easter Conference (NEEC) or the South England Easter
Conference (SEEC) but we welcome everyone no matter where you live! MEC 2012 will be held at Abbotsholme School, Uttoxeter. It will be a great place to meet new friends and
enjoy fellowship with different people, so do come & join us!
What goes on at the MEC?
During the conference there will be times of worshipping together and
learning together from listening to experienced speakers and from each
other. There are also interesting workshops to attend, and some time
for fun and games too. We hope that the MEC will be a time where you
can be strengthened and encouraged by drawing close to God and coming
together with others. More importantly, we all want to see God Himself
touch people's lives for the better.
What is the theme for this year's MEC?
This year our theme builds upon last year MEC 2011:Dreamworks where we dreamt for God. We are now going to Run the Race for God!
" Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." (Hebrews 12:1-2)
The question is, are you ready to run?
